This page will be updated regularly with information needing to be shared with participants and volunteers. 

Charities Update:

This years charities will include, but are not limited to:  
     
     Johnson County Community Hospice
     New Beginnings Women's center
     Harvesters Back Snack Program - Warrensburg School District Division
     Warrensburg Student Organizations
     Warrensburg VFW
     Johnson County Sheltered Workshop
    

Runners Update:


You may drop a race bag off at the starting line with any items you do not want to carry with you on the run.  You MUST have your Name or Bib # on the bag!  Volunteers will collect bagged items when the race starts. You will then be able to pick up the bag at the registration tent when you get done running.  Run The Burg and its volunteers will not be held responsible for lost items in your bag.  If you leave jackets or gloves at the drink stations along the way, the volunteers will bring them back to the registration tent at the end of the race. 

There are numerous drink stations with both water and gatorade.  We will also have some of the stations with energy gels along the course for you.  Post-race snacks and fruit along with drinks again will be at the finish line waiting for you.  Restrooms will be along the course at every aid station.

There will be only 1 start time at 7:15am for all 3 events!

Volunteers Update:
A volunteer meeting will take place on Wed. Sept 6 at 5:00 at the Ear, Nose and Throat/ Plastic Surgery office located at 706 Burkarth Rd. Warrensburg, MO.  Information about the event and your team responsibilities will be given out at that time.


A lead organization volunteer will need to report to the volunteer tent by 6:30am the morning of the race.  Please sign in for your charity that you want to represent.  You will then receive your volunteer T-shirts, additional instructions and aid station supplies along with a map of where to go. 

The Team leader for your organization will inform their volunteers of what station you will be covering.  Each organization will need to assign  people to be in charge of picking up the tables and drink coolers along with cups and gels.  These will be at the downtown courthouse at registration and will need to be brought back when the race is finished please. 

Please dress for the weather. 

There will be restroom facilities at every aid station.

Please be familiar with the course and direct the runners where to turn or go next. 

Most of all: Be a motivator and encourage all the runners as they progress through the course and HAVE FUN.
